To watch eight of the fourteen Super League teams face off against each other at Scotland's national stadium, a coach load of Eagles undertook the three and a half hour journey up to Edinburgh. All the Eagles had a great time and especially enjoyed the final game of the day in which Leeds Rhinos made an awesome comeback to beat the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. Some of the Eagles had a surprise during the day when they were offered the chance to be ball boys for the second game of the day. 5 of Eagles under 15 squad became ball boys for the Hull FC - Harlequins match. The eagles thoroughly enjoyed their pitch side experience, it being a great chance for them to watch Super League from so close up. They also were grateful to experience a major stadium from pitch side and give them an understanding of what it must be like for the players on such a great occasion. The lads will be looking to use this experience to help them through the rest of this season and help them push for honours come the business end of the season. |
