The first home game of the season saw our u13s side emerge as victors over a spirited Whitley Bay Barbarians. A fantastic first half performance by The Eagles meant that by half time we were in a comfortable lead. The first half performance included a brace of tries from Liam Cosgrove. Things however changed in the second half with The Barbarians coming out fighting. Some great kicks by Aidan McCallion led to 2 Lewis Boyle tries to put the scores neck and neck at 24 all going into the final few minutes. A fantastic breakaway try by debutant Kieran Drape sealed a 28-24 win for the home team. Man of the match was given to Alex Taylor who had a great game in both attack and defence. |
